carnival

HUGE Success in our classroom.

We played pin the tail on the donkey, our own fishing game, bean bag toss, egg race, don't drop the balloon, parachute time, and more! It was a great time and the boys loved it (and all of their tickets!)

The fishing game was probably the best and it's the easiest thing. Paperclips, foam sheets cut into fish, and a strong magnet tied onto string on a stick (we used a yardstick). The kids would have played this for hours had I let them.

Pin the tail on the donkey was amusing to assess their understanding of left and right. A whole bunch of cheaterpants who wanted to be blindfolded but thought that it would be okay to just move it a little so that they could see! It was hysterical!

Oh, I forgot, we also played clothing pin through the hole which was an old clorox wipe bottle with the lid popped open like you were going to get a wipe and they had to get a clothing pin through it. I was amazed at what lengths they were still able to do it! Great motor skills.

The room was decorated thanks to Mrs. Robertson with balloons (that was yesterday's feat with showing the boys how to blow up balloons) they much preferred to blow them up and let them go so they flew around the room.

Happy evening!

That sounds like so much fun!! Wish I could have been there to see the boys try out all the games. Maybe we could re-enact a couple of them at our brunch? At the very least I'll have to play them this summer.
