New Book

"Mother Warriors" by Jenny McCarthy.

I didn't even know that she had a new book until I went to Target tonight to buy myself a Cabbage Patch Kid. Yes, that's right. I just admitted to all of you that I still collect Cabbage Patch Kids. And yes, collect is the right word as I have over 200.

Anyway, I digress.

Here's the opening line:
"All illnesses have some hereditary contribution. Genetics loads the gun and environment pulls the trigger."

That is just the forward. It was written by a peds doctor at UCLA and does claim that A. vaccinations can cause it. B. it can be cured.

Cured, not treated.

So, now, that I'm on page 9, I came to update the blog and thought that I would tell some of the strongest Mother and Father warriors that I know about it.

Have a good night!

Ok, My image of you is totally blown! Cabage patch dolls?! Anyway.

I saw Jenny McCarthy on Good Morning America yesterday promoting the book. It seemed to be plugged as mostly stories about what families have gone through to "cure" their kids.
Can I borrow it when you're done? I promise not to hold your obsession with cabbage patch against you..weirdness is a virtue .LOL.

Hey! I can't help the whole cabbage patch thing. My grandpa stood in line when I was still in womb to get me my first one.

But yes, you can borrow it.

Since Mike has class tomorrow night, it's my goal to have it done then. If not, Thursday before Must See TV.

And yes, the second half is all stories from other families.

Now I AM really old...listen to you...in the womb! I was a mom! hahaha Who knew you collected them? I would have never guessed. I gave all my girls' away to a lady starting a new daycare. And yes, they are still bitter about it!

I love CPK. I'm going to see if the 25th anniversary ones will go on sale after Christmas so I can get one for my daughter's 1st birthday or Christmas next year.
