Sickness travel.....

There is a bug going around our room. Headache, coughing, runny nose, some with high fever.

At home, please stress with your child the importance of coughing into their elbow and covering sneezes. Also, proper handwashing. We're trying but we can't do it all at school. We're trying to nip bugs quickly but with the small class and how close the kids like to be with one another, it's difficult.

Our day was okay. We started out with three, went up to four, went down to three and then I unfortunately went home ill. I'm trying to practice what I preach about going home when I'm sick. I plan on uping my own vitamin routine.

We're still talking about fruits and vegetables and talking about their importance in what we eat. In addition, we're talking about more and fewer, reviewing patterns, and numerical order. We're learning about winter holidays including Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas around the world. So in case your child talks about putting out their shoes so that someone can put a treat in them or wants to spin a dreidel (they'll be bringing home their own next week), you'll understand where it's coming from.

Stay warm! (I will tell you that the boys LOVED seeing the snow today and they just thought that it was the best thing to watch).
